Shoalhaven Libraries are now offering Book Club Kits designed to bring people together for engaging and lively discussions about great books. Whether you’re a seasoned bookworm or just looking for a fun way to connect with others, these kits provide everything you need to host your own book club.

Gather your friends, pick up a kit, and get ready for unforgettable conversations and new literary adventures!

Choosing your kit

Each kit contains 5-10 copies of a book, as well as a set of questions to help facilitate your discussion.

A list of the library’s book club kits can be viewed on the Shoalhaven Libraries Catalogue.

Kits can be reserved in advance however the library is unable to ensure the kit will be returned on time by other members - to avoid disappointment check the catalogue to see which kits are currently available.

How to borrow and return a kit

Book club kits can be reserved and borrowed using a Shoalhaven membership card for a period of 6 weeks with no renewals. You can choose which branch to collect your kit from.

Book club kits must be returned as complete sets to the front counter of your library. Kits cannot be returned via the after hours chute.

Overdue, lost, or damaged items

A replacement fee of $11 per item is applicable for any lost or damaged items, and is the responsibility of the membership holder. You will be unable to borrow if there are any outstanding charges or overdue kits on your card.
