Work Experience

Shoalhaven Libraries is proud to host work experience students from local high schools. Work experience provides a valuable opportunity for young people to gain hands-on experience, develop workplace skills, and explore potential career pathways in a real-world environment.

As part of Shoalhaven City Council's commitment to community participation, lifelong learning, and supporting young people, students take part in the Arts & Culture Work Experience Program.

Rather than spending their entire placement in a single area, students have the opportunity to experience all three Arts & Culture services over the course of the week:

  • Library
  • Shoalhaven Regional Gallery
  • Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre (SEC)

This unique program offers insight into a range of careers across the arts, culture, events, and information sectors, helping students build confidence, skills, and a broader understanding of the opportunities available within the industry.
