Be Connected is an Australia-wide initiative empowering all Australians to thrive in a digital world. Shoalhaven Libraries is proud to be part of the Be Connected Network, offering in-person support and tech classes to people who are developing their digital skills and confidence.

Shoalhaven Libraries offers a range of regular services and programs to help you with technology. Whether you want to learn something new, or quickly resolve a problem, we can help!

Tech Classes

Each month, library staff offer free tech classes on a variety of subjects including email, internet, mobile devices, Microsoft Word, resumes, shopping online, cyber safety, and more.

Tech Tuesday

Come into Nowra Library on a Tuesday if you have a computer question or need help with your device, including smartphones and tablets. Sessions last a maximum of ten minutes and are run by our friendly volunteer staff. These sessions are on a drop in basis only and cannot be booked.

One-on-One Tutorials

Hour long one-on-one training sessions with library staff are available on request. Sessions can include introductory or advanced internet and technology training covering email, tablets, social media and more. Contact Nowra Library on 4429 3705 for more information or to make a booking. Please note fees apply for one- on-one tutorials. 

The Computer School

Learn how to use PCs, tablets, smart phones: Apple, Windows, Android: email, Facebook, Twitter, MS Office, Skype, blogs and much more. Easy step by step tutorials for absolute beginners and more advanced users. Please visit our databases page to log in.

Shoalhaven Community College

Shoalhaven Community College offers FREE Tech Savvy Seniors classes, including Introduction to Computers, Introduction to iPads and iPhones, Introduction to Android Tablets and Smartphones. Limited places so book early.

They also offer drop-in computer help sessions called Silver Fox Computer Help. These sessions are a place for seniors to get help with computer software, programs, phone, tablet or other device.  There is a small fee.
