Stage 3 - Library Reopening - from August 10 2020

We are pleased to announce that from Monday August 10, our libraries will proceed to Stage 3 of our reopening. In this stage, Nowra, Sanctuary Point and Ulladulla library will open up study desks to the public. These desks will be available on a strict booking basis and are only for work and study.

Nowra Library weekday opening hours have also been extended (Mon-Fri: 10am - 5pm). 

As always, the health and safety of our staff, and visitors is our top priority so we will be fully complying with the NSW Health guidelines to protect everyone who comes through our doors.

Loans and Returns

We don’t want you to worry about returning your library items. 
We have enabled an automatic renewal option so your items should never become overdue, but if they do please do not stress. Keep any overdue items with you and return them once it is safe to do so. 
We do not charge overdue fees and will not be sending courtesy reminders or overdue notices at this time. 
If you do wish to return your library items, please visit and return at our branches.

Digital Library

Our Digital Library is always open! Download eBooks, eAudio and eMagazines, stream movies and stay informed with a range of digital resources covering everything from literature to languages to health.

All our apps and digital resources are free for library members. To log in, you'll need a current Shoalhaven Libraries library card number or Digital Membership number and your library PIN (your date of birth by default eg. 01021980)

BorrowBox - Our most popular platform, featuring eBooks and eAudiobooks across a range of genres. If reservation times are getting you down, take heart - we've just added 11 new eBook and 11 new eAudio titles that each allow 500 loans! That's 11,000 instant loans!

indyreads - Our brand new eBook platform features independent Australian and international titles, classic literature and modern award-winning titles in eBook and eAudio format. Try it out!

RBDigital - This platform offers eBooks and eAudiobooks, many of which have simultaneous loans - no need to wait or reserve! Check out the Book Club section, which has lots of new and popular titles, as well as the eMagazines - there are over 700 titles!

uLibraryThis platform features 500 popular eAudio titles, each with simultaneous loan access - no need to reserve! To get started with uLibrary, register here. You'll be sent an email with log in instructions, which you can use to log in to the uLibrary website here on your desktop computer or laptop, or via the uLibrary app on your mobile device. Study Resources

Our Digital Library is a treasure trove of information for students, including magazine, newspaper and journal articles, maps, reports, reviews, images and video, and free access to Britannica Library. Topics include science, human society, the environment, PD/H/PE, literature, history, Australian current affairs, social sciences, and languages. These resources are up-to-date and reliable.  They can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Best of all, they’re absolutely free.  View our Study Help page here.
