Paws ‘n’ Tales is an innovative and exciting literacy initiative for children 4-8 years of age who may be experiencing reading difficulties, lack motivation or have other health issues impeding their learning. Our caring volunteers and loving dogs help make reading enjoyable in a non-judgemental and friendly environment. Reading to a dog reduces stress levels, boosts confidence and empowers children to take control of their learning…and it’s fun! Our dogs come in all shapes and sizes – from Kelpies to Puggles, Groodles to Goldies, but they have one thing in common – they all love kids. You can learn more about the program by watching this video or by contacting Nowra Library on 4429 3705 or via email.
