Shoalhaven Readers' and Writers' Festival
(Free!) Children's Festival
Saturday 4 August 2018

Don't miss the FREE Children's Festival happening at Nowra Library as part of the inaugural Shoalhaven Readers' and Writers' Festival.

Young readers and writers are invited to meet authors Tim Harris (Mr Bambuckle's Remarkables) and the wonderful Jackie French!

Authors will be available to sign their books after sessions, and Dean Swift books will have books for sale on the day.

All events are free, but numbers are limited to be sure to book a place!

10am Storytime + Craft

You're never too young to discover the joys of reading! Settle in and enjoy a story and a craft activity based around Aussie animals. (Ages 3-5)

 Book now!

11.00am - 12.00 pm - A Remarkable Appearance by Tim Harris

Mr Bambuckle's Remarkables was one of the runaway smash hits in Australian children’s literature last year, and the rollicking sequel, Mr Bambuckle's Remarkables Fight Back, is here!  Join the author Tim Harris for an exciting and quirky adventure into the world of reading and writing. And perhaps an Exploding Ending or two. (Age 8+)

Book now!

1.30pm - 2.30pm Meet Jackie French

One of Australia’s best-loved authors, Jackie French has written more than 200 books for children and adults, and will share all her warmth, wit and wisdom about reading and writing in this not-to-be-missed event.
Jackie loves it when her audiences get involved, so she will be awarding some special (book) prizes for those who wear costumes. Categories are: best koala or wombat (any age) and a
‘book parade’ with a difference (prizes for the best book costume… not a favourite character from a book, but the book itself!) Visit the Shoalhaven Reader' and Writers' Festival website for more details.
